Excel Reformatting Tool

By ajpurcell ·
Hi,
I am looking for an off the shelf product that can import an excel file of a certain format and reformat it to conform to some saved output file settings. eg. an excel file with 3 columns named A1, A2 and A3 to be converted to an excel file with 2 columns called B1 and B2 where A1 maps to B2 and A3 maps to B2.
I would like to be able to save numerous conversion settings in order to re-use daily and also the product would need to be able to support excel 2002/2003. Any ideas?

That sounds like a specialty request.....

I highly doubt you would find anything 'off the shelf' to do it.

What you CAN do though would be to write a MACRO (VBScript) to be used in a new spreadsheet which would ask you the file name to be opened to get the data from, then copy/concatenate the data from the old spreadsheet to the new spreadsheet.

Integrator

I have found an off the shelf product called the Data Integrator from Pervasive. Has anyone come across this product? It looks to satisfy my excel re-formatting requirement.
Thanks again.
