Exchange Intelligent Message Filter

By cliff680 ·
I have a client that just changed the name of their company, hence their email domain. I setup Exchange to accept both domains for now until we decide to get rid or the old one. The problem is that I was using Intelligent Message Filter for the old domain and if I keep it active it blocks the new domain as Spam. Is there any way for IMF to allow multiple domains into Exchange?

Thanks in advance.

I am using Exchagne 2003 SP2

This is a link to "How-to" create filters and exceptions.

No pertinent info there

I read that article. There's nothing in there that applies. Basically I have a domain abc.com and I am changing it to 123.com. For the time being I need to accept emails fom both domains. IMF accepts messages for abc.com and blocks 123.com. I can't find any rules or config that would allow me to tell it that it also needs to accept mail for 123.com.

Thanks

One more try

Looks like by itself it does have limited exception filtering.

You would need to add key words and/or addresses to a White list to get it to ignore those messages.
It is tagging them as "Ham" now,you must be getting Ham in your archives now right?
Do you not have an exception list of those type messages?

Have you tried this? adding "456.com" to the White list?

This isn't really a whitelist isue. Whitelist would mean allowing my server to accept mail from 456.com. My server is 456.com.

Have to ask

You did add the new domain as a hosted Exchange domain with the MX records in place already?
