Fatal Exception 0E Win98

By comforu ·
I randomly get a blue screen with the following message:
"A fatal exception 0E has occurred at xxxx:xxxxxxxx in VXD Vcache".

What does that message indicate?

Thanks.

Hi I guess one would need more info as to when you are getting this error. But I might add that it's probibly do to virtual memory and I would look into your system's resources, as well as how memory you have on board. I know win 98 like 64mgs of ram or more to run smoothly. So perhaps a little more info will help those who can help. rockyolson@charter.net

The system has 128MB of RAM and the system is idle. The desktop is on the screen. MS Word has been executed and is minimized.

1. Check the CPU fan and P.S. fan.
2. Download all the latest patch and fix from MS.
3. Goodluck.

i think it might have something to do with your ram modules, try taking out one module if you have two memory strips or try a diffrent ram module from another working pc and see whether that takes care of the problem

Try to replace a new memory chip, see if it work. The video card driver's problem could also cause it.
