Finding the IP of the Novell 6 server

By tjclairmont ·
I have a new Novell customer that wants to know the IP of the server. How do I check this?

At the server console type CONFIG enter.
It will show you the board ,protocol and the IP address.

load nwconfig or incfg depending on how you load your network protocols. In nwconfig look in the autoexec.ncf file. In the inetcfg file look in the bindings settings.

Go to the server console and type "Config" without the qoutes. If some has added secondary IP addresses to the NICs then you need to type "Display secondary IP Address" or "Display secondary IPAddress" not sure whether or not there's a space in IP Address. NW admin and console one can reveal this info also but I'm not logged into our Networks at the moment to confirm exactly where it can be found.
