can I fit a 20GB ibm notebook h/drive to a toshiba satelite 2500cds originally fitted with a 2.1GB h/drive

assuming you open your laptop and fit the new hdd yourselve.if the os is win 98 you have a good chance to overcome the 2GB barrier. i would check in tosh. web site to see if you can get bios update for your system first before buying the 20GB hdd. an email to their tech may get better confirmation.

Under most circumstances you can. Check out Apricorn's website:

They have a lot of useful info but shop around for a new hard drive. Prices vary by quite a bit (I like googlegear's prices). If you are lookingto transfer your current drive to a new and larger drive ez-gig is a snap.
