FN F8 key for toshiba isnt working after installing windows 7?

By chuwaka ·
I installed windows 7 in my laptop Toshiba satelite L505-S5966 and the FN F8 key isnt working, thus i cant have the wireless connection. I have tried to install the drivers on the Toshiba support but nothing seems to work. If someone could kindly assist me with this situation, am desperate.

You need the 7 Drivers for your version of 7 here

So if it's a 32 Bit Version of 7 you need to install the 32 Bit 7 Drivers and if it's a 64 Bit version of 7 you need to install the 64 Bit Drivers.

You can download the required drivers here

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2350215&rpn=PSLL0U&modelFilter=L505-S5966&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663

Though you will have to chose either 32 or 64 Bit depending on which version of 7 you are running.

Just a hint if the 7 Install Disc you are using doesn't list it's type it's a 32 Bit Version of 7 and if it says 64 Bit it's obviously a 64 Bit version of 7.

Things like this not working after windows is installed is a sign that you need to install the Keyboard Drivers and/or the WiFi Drivers or if that's not the issue that the Keyboard is faulty and needs replacing.

Have you looked in Device Manager to see what if anything doesn't have drivers installed? That would be my starting point.
