FNM on Monday – Robin Gibb, the second of the three Brothers Gibb to pass
LockedBefore the days of disco, the Bee Gees were right there; but, for some reason, disco is the only thing remembered about the Bee Gees. I remember their songs a dozen or more years before the disco era. Their very first studio album was in 1965: Fourteen Songs of Barry Gibb. (As a record collector, I wish I had the first release of that album on its Leedon Label. It’s quite rare and valuable.)
The Bee Gees started something in the 1960s, well before disco, but it was no joke.

And hardly heard in the USA, Spicks and Specks from 1966, their first International chart-topper, reaching number one in Australia.
