is there a way to retain folder and file securities while transfering to win 2000 from winnt

i believe robocopy (on the winnt disk in utils folder) will copy your folder and preserve the permissions...hope this helps...

You can use both robocopy or scopy - both from the resource kit

XCOPY also can transfer ACL info when you use the /O switch. It comes with Win2K.
