Followup to Connectivity

By nijole ·
The machine in question is a stand alone server in the domain. When I map to it from Explorer I can reach it,also when I log as the domain admin I can reach it.But not as the admin to the directory or a user in the directory.Users have logged off andon and it is still the same error the dir is unaccesible.Any suggestion to solve this problem will be appreciated. This a time based problem for me due to a project.

The question is a little unclear.

Are we speaking about a share, or a directory? And if we are speaking about a directory, how are we accessing that directory (what's the share name)? If your trying to use the default shares (C$, D$) then yes, only the Admin can connect. That's why they are called "Administrative Shares". Just remember to give the user accessing the resource, permissions at the share level and the file/directory level.
