Forwarding e-mail with MS Exchange 5.5

By PT3 ·
Is there a way to forward e-mail mesage sent to receipient of company's Exchange server to the e-mail account from any ISP mail server.
For example: A message sent to aaa@myexchange.com to be forwarded to aaa@yahoo.com.
I can forward only to another receipient on the same server.

Create a Custom SMTP Recipient and give it the SMTP address you want to forward to. Then indicate that you want to forward to the custom recipient. Also a great way to provide alternate addresses through the GAL.

further to the 1st response, once you have created the custom recipient, you can set a client side rule using the tools/rules wizard to forward the mail, or set a server side alternate recipient on the delivery options tab of the mailbox properties.
