Fowarding a Contact in Outlook 2000 as a

By chesire1 ·
Two of my personnel are trying to exchange members of their contact lists over the internet. When they try to foward a contact it looks fine on the way out, but once it is received on the other end outlook does not reconize the file. It seems to work fine internally on both systems. Both are using pop3 mail accounts, one is dialup and the other is DSL. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx JOhn G

Try right-click on the card, select forward and fill out the email. If they using the same program, it should not be any incompatibilities.

Good luck!

Another important tip for the receiver of the email. Instead of save as, waht the reciving party has to do is right-click on the received card, select open, then click on save and close (uper left menu).
If you click to save as, it will save with the *.msg extension, thus changing the format of the attachment.

Try to export contacts as VCard (Electronic Bussines card, *.vcf) and send them as attachments. VCard is a standard of Electronic Business card, so even not using MS Outlook, it can be opened.

good luck
