FoxPro 2.6 compiling refers to "phantom"

By skalooky ·
I have seen this problem come and go around the office and have never found a solution to the problem. If you compile on a system with a c and d partition or a c and a cd-rom, when you execute the app, you are asked to put a cd in the tray. You can insert any cd and it will get you through the problem. If you compile on a system with just a c drive, you don't have the problem. We have used several rom burning programs and see this problem manifest itself with all of them. For the end user this is extremely irritating and looks like bad programming to us. Any help would be much appreciated...

Hello,
In talking with our programmer he suggests the following as this is a common scenerio.
When you compile, there is a setting to turn debugging off. To do this follow these steps. These are from memory, so.....
From your menu bar select compile then the more button and you should see the "include debugging information" or something similiar. We seen this in our apps when a programmer worked from home on a machine with multi partitions. Once we took this off, it has worked fine since. Good luck.

Download FIXDRIVE.ZIP from http://www.abri.com/foxpro.html. It's a free PRG file and it will "clean up" your compiled EXE or APP. Not sure if it works all the time, but it's been helpful to me.
