    Frozen keyboard and mouse

    Locked

I just updated Windows (NT SP6a) and rebooted my PC to find that I cannot press CTL-ALT-DEL to logon. The keyboard isn’t working. However, I can enter system setup as it boots, my keyboard is fine! I’ve tested another keyboard with the same result.Icannot boot into DOS because the OS is NTFS.

Use “Last Known Good Configuration” boot option to get into the OS. Then Select the unistall option for SP6a under Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel assuming you left that option checked when you installed the Service Pack.

SP6a was reported to be buggy by MS. Uninstall it from Last Known Good Configuration or from safe mode (VGA mode).

      Then try to install SP6b.
