HOW CAN I SUCCESSFULLY USE FTP (FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL) TO UPLOAD THE FILES FROM MY COMPUTER TO DIFFERENT SITES ANT TO DOWNLOAD FROM DIFFERENT LOCATIONS TO MY MACHINE/NETWORK?????????

So many freewares/sharewares are available on the net to do this. like cuteFTP, easyFTP etc. Just download them form the internet. Install them properly. Installation of these programms are self explanatory.

Very Simple.

Another way that you should be able to do this is by installing the latest version of IE 5.5. It has a built in FTP Client that will allow you to access some FTP Sites.

Check out download.com or hotfiles.com for an FTP client. I like WSFTP-LE. It's free. Now, keep in mind too that if you're looking to upload stuff to YOUR machine/network, say from a remote location, you will also need an FTP server program. NT comes with IIS, of course, but I bet you could find something usable with some searches through one of the above websites.
