FTP server reports files 4 hours into th

By joe11701 ·
When I send a file to my FTP server ( IIS 3.0) the time of file creation is correct on the server, but the FTP client reports it as 4 hours in the future. I've used WS_FTP and the M$ FTP client. Both report the time wrong.

Any ideas?

You can use NET TIME to verify the time zone on your client is syncronized with the time zone on the FTP server-- use:

NET TIME \\SERVERNAME /SET

do this from your client PC. Then give your FTP job shot

In WS_FTP Pro you can set the time offset to -4. Depending on what version you are using it is either located in Advanced Properites or Site Properties under the Startup Tab. There is no standard for specification of date/time on FTP sites, but often it is displayed in GMT. If the FTP site is a Windows NT host, it will always stamp incoming files with Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT).

faking out the server by using a client doesn't solve the problem.
