Full Name and Author Info

By BorgInva ·
I have Word 2000 documents on my machine that, automatically, have my full name info in the "author" and "last saved" fields on the properties page. How did this happen? My computer's registered info is not even my name.
How do I remove all of thisinfo?

I know how to remove them documeent to document, but how do I remove ALL of them at once? I have hundreds of documents going over years of work.
Maybe I did not state it in the question correctly but I need to know if there is a way to remove all of the info from all of the documents at once.

Here's how to create a batch change macro:

You can remove the Author with:

ActiveDocument.BuiltInDocumentProperties(wdPropertyAuthor) = ""

but the wdPropertyLastAuthor field is read only.

You could add the line:

Application.UserName = ""
The Doc will reflect the new save date, but not the name.

I really wish I could tell you if that will help or not, but it is all in gibberish to me. I hate to try it and destroy my data accidently because I would not even know what I am doing.
