My monitor was working fine, but, now the past few days it has been really wavy. I have tried to change the settings etc. but with no luck. I was wondering if you have any solutions for me to try? The system I'm running on is Windows XP.

uninstall/reinstall Video, Try upgrading Direct X,
Did you recieve a Monitor driver with the system, if so, install it. Check that the cables are correctly seated, check for dirt/dust. Is the probelm seen in the Bios / Safe mode.
Try Monitor on a different system, Try a self test if you see the problem re-occur the monitor is at fault.

Hope this helps

also look for any of the following in the same circuit or NEAR the monitor: Speaker, tape desk, tv, flurescent lights, is this on the same wall as a water main. in addition to trying it w/ anither pc, try it in a different location, sometimes a simple swivel in 1 direction or the other will resolve the issue

G'day,
If the above suggestions don't help then it may be failing power supply filter capacitors in the monitor.

Sounds like you might have a fan running near the monitor. (Fan as in the type that moves the air around to make it cooler in the room; not a fan inside the PC).
