grounding problem

By europanorama ·
i have some new groundig problems when i touch floppydrive removing disk. this is new since i have had this pc out of the case lying freely.
maybe there are some interconnections because i use a multiplexer(several pcs, one monitor etc.)
floppy lies on cd-rom-drive seperated with rubber.
maybe i must disconnect the cable and reconnect. on my main pc-which now has a rubber-base on the table, i tried to use different grounding solutions without any clear answer. at the moment i have no groundig at all on pc1. i tried out groundig the board to the supply, ps to the heating(metallic surface), all kind of versions without success.the problem discussed above concerns pc2 without rubber-surface only sort of plastic-material around wooden-plate, the material with air-bubbles inside used in packagings.

You should probably run a seperate ground wire from the frame of PC1 and the frame of PC2 to the shell of the Floppy drive. This presumes that there is a ground available at the power source (wall socket).

The static may be coming from a static potential caused by carpet, rugs or type of shoe. If you use downy fabric softener cut 50% with water and spray it on the carpet and let dry the problem will get better....If a static diferential picked up from the carpet or rug is the cause.

i have an ungrounded rubber-plate(kind of rubber-carpet) on my main desk. i will ground it. same i will do with second desk(no grounding,no rubber). there i have grounded floppy to ps-case.
beside thisi had some troubles when i used an infrared-mouse on a third(more precise forth) pc. sometimes pc started without doing anything. maybe some waves caused this. i do not use this mouse anymore. maybe i should try it out(i have no more television)only when i am at home. i do not want pc to start when i am outside.
