Since New Years…
-been laid off
-dad’s been sick a lot
-burnt through all my savings because unemployment here is a joke
-mom died
-sisters came down like vultures then left when they got what they wanted.Only good thing is I got a good job in May. I had to spend $5k to move here, but it’s a really good job and really nice people.

That sounds rather terrible. Sorry to hear about you dad, and my condolences on the passing of your mom.
I hope the job and the environment with good people helps.

Just worried most about dad. Has a swallowing issue called dysphagia, and it makes it hard for him to get the food into his stomach. So, he’s been malnourished for months now. I only recently realized how much after I saw him take his shirt off, and I could see his spinal column.
Going to see a throat specialist soon, and I’m going with him so we can discuss everything dad can do (and I can remind him) to remedy/improve/cure/attempt to fix what he has. There’s supposedly 2 medications now that can help improve it.
But, thanks for the well wishes. Hope it does improve. Not sure how much more I can handle.

My somewhat recently late grandmother had this. Developed in her mid-80s. I don’t know exactly what helped her a bit with that, but she managed quite well to keep trucking along into her mid-90s.
Handling stuff… is an “interesting” experience. So I wish you all the best with that as well. I am well-versed with that, with my dad, and in my own home (and for a very long time).
Stuff in my house, and with work, has been completely insane for about a year, far above the normal insanity i have gotten used to over the years. I am not exactly the world’s most adept at coping with these things properly, so I have faith you will manage. 🙂 And we can all hopefully continue to fight for things to be better.
