Hard Drive Beeps and won't mountUp

Hi to all,
I really need the files from the HDD drive any support will be much appreciated..

Okay I have a Samsung 250G Sata that is only responding to me by beeps every few seconds.

1st. Yes it?s the hard dive beeping. And starts beeping when power is connected. And won?t mount
2st. No post beeps, No bios screen.
3rd. Tried different ports. no luck
4th. Tried other HDD, all okay computer stable.
5th. Tried plugging in HDD after XP has loaded and yet again just beeps and spins. Nothing..! HDD less than a one year old.

it may give you an indication as to the health of the drive.

if the drive is less than 12mths old you should be able to have it replaced under warranty.

Yes mate warranty is been supplyed...
But there (SAMSUNG) not able to supply or restore hard drive files.. So what I Won?t (if possible)is the files off the drive before replacement.
Okay tryed your Link but It dosent sound like any of these...cheers for your help but...!

you can try this but there is no guarantee that it will work.

Remove the drive from the enclosure and put it in a sealed plastic bag to avoid condensation. Then put the drive in a freezer and leave it overnight. Reconnect the drive as quick as you can and start backing up your files.

Okay, I am desperate to recovery the files and will try this theory in a few days.. In order to wait for other replies.. Hopefully someone may have other unique problem solving\ trouble shooting ideas like your but not so drastic.
But I?ll give it a few days for all to respond. And then I'll give it a go..

is to connect the drive internally and see if it will work. Also check the Power outlet or lead that you are using. Try plugging it into another outlet.

Yep, try this. Tryed diffrent I\O ports and power outlets. Same thing..
But I Checked out your link for hard drive recovery, and will call them tomorrow and get a quote.

You're missing some information - but my guess is this:

I'm guessing that you're talking about the Samsung S2 HXMU025DA 250 GB Portable Hard Drive. If so, the fact that this is a premanufactured external drive is very relevant.

Is this the first time you've ever used this drive? You don't indicate whether or not you've ever successfully used this drive before. If you have used this drive before, was it connected to the computer you mentioned in your original question, or was it conected to a different computer? That information is also quite relevant.

Nonetheless, I believe one of two things might be happening.

1. The drive has failed, in which case you might get Samsung to replace it at no cost to you, but retrieving data is not covered by a warranty, while a retrieval service would be quite expensive and not guaranteed to work.

2. The drive, since it has no external power source and gets all its power through the USB connector, simply isn't getting enough power through that particular USB port to work. If this is the case, try plugging that drive into a different computer.

Some friendly advice: People around here try to be helpful. If they don't understand your problem, perhaps you should consider practicing a bit of patience and expanding on your question. For example, not once did you mention that this is a premanufactured external drive. You also owe those people an apology.
