Help with Win 2003 VPN config.

    Locked

    by billy ·

I have a pptp vpn setup on a win 2003 server and I can connect fine. What I want to know is when I connect to the vpn it makes my public ip the same as the server’s public ip. The problem this makes is if I am remotely connected to a computer and then enable the vpn I lose the remote connection until i manually disconnect the vpn from the machine. Is there a way around this? Thanks

      reserve ip

you need to reserve the servers ip address and change the scope of ips that are issued for vpn access.

      my network runs on 10.10.x.x
people connecting on a vpn are issued 192.168.x.x

the vpn ips have to be completely different to your LAN ip addresses
