hoax file jdbgmgr

By wb7nqm ·
The CEO and owner of our company received an email stating the jdbgmgr file is a virus and followed the directions to delete it. According to the MSKB, this file is part of ieakjava.exe but gives no further information.

Can anyone tell me what consequence deleting this file might have? Is it possible to just copy the file from another computer back onto his?

Thanks.

I appreciate the prompt response to my question. Our CEO is the definitive IT nightmare! Which is why I am getting out, as of the 12th.

Thanks again.

I find that Symantec has the quickest turnaround on info on new viruses and hoaxes.
