How can I change the default, Sleep, in Vista Shut Down

It takes 4 key strokes to shut down Vista since your forced to select from 5 options and Sleep is the default.

My personal default would be Shut Down and my second most used is Restart.

It wouldn’t be advisable to use Sleep or Hibernate on a laptop if your using the battery. I would also eliminate Switch User and those from the menu since I am the only user.

The setting for the option to change the default shut down function is buried about 4 menus deep from Control Panel.

Rather than type the details, here is a link to Bob Cerelli’s Vista tip on changing the default action of the power button.

I had a widget that was the same as XP, but using resources just for one or two a session seems like a waste.
