How can I modify the DPI for a user at first logon?

By jcwfbi ·
Hi all, hoping I got the right place for this.

I'm looking for a way to be able to have the AppliedDPI set for a user when they first log on. Searching through bing, TechNet and other sources I found the regkey "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment", and "hkcu\sid\ControlPanel\Desktop\WindowMetrics".

Inside Windowsmetrics there is the AppliedDPI value that appears to apply to the how the screen appears at logon. Hoping someone has clarity on this.

Are either of these keys able to be used to modify the dpi at logon for a new user? Or is there another place? Or is it possible at all. I only know of changes being made after the user logs on and their profile is created. This is just to apply at first logon.

Any thoughts are appreciated!!
