How can I share outlook 2010 calendar between 2 local pcs without exchange?

By ajc1502 ·
I have 2 pc's on a local network one for the Boss and one for the PA. They are both running outlook 2010 on windows 7. The PA needs to be able to make changes to the Bosses calendar. I had set up sharing via microsoft live account however when the PA needs to add content she has to send an appointment request which the Boss has to accept. (No exchange server) Anyone found a way of doing this?

No. How about hosted exchange?

It's been several years since Outlook attempted to share info without Exchange, and I think the reason they moved away from it is that it didn't work reliably at all (anyone remember netfolders?).
If they don't want their own exchange server, then how about hosting a couple of mailboxes on Hosted Exchange to gain this functionality?

There is an app that allows you to share Outlook folders (all of them, including calendars) via local network. It's called Codetwo Public Folders and you can get it from here:

http://www.codetwo.com/public-folders?sts=666

Requires no server software, works similar to Exchange (public folders).

Hope it helps,
