How can I sync outlook Calendar on PC with Mac laptop and Droid Pro?

My main computer is a PC, running XP (32 bit) and Office 2010.
My cell phone is a Motorola Droid Pro, (Verizon) running the most recent system version, 4.6.8.XT610.Version.en.US.
My laptop is a MacBrook Pro, running OS X 10.7.2–it currently runs ical (which I hate because I cannot set separate color categories for events as I can in Outlook, which makes events of a particular type, ie. a particular committee meeting, much easier to see), but I can access google calendars via my gmail page.

Google Chrome is already set up as my browser on the PC and the Mac, and I understand that google is the default browser in the Droid Pro.

I can see Google Calendar on both computers using in my Gmail account.

The google sync info page did not show that OS X is able to be synched.

    I would like to know

    1) If I can install Google sync on both the PC desktop and the Mac laptop.

    2) If by doing so, I can make changes to my calendars on whichever computer I am using at the time, and have the sync go through automatically, (hopefully with the Outlook format) or if not,

    3) If I can work something out by using the google calendar in gmail. or if not, do you know of a way to do it. AND

    4) How do I synch the calendar with my phone?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mark, for your quick response.
Unfortunately, my laptop is a Mac, and I’m afraid that it won’t synch as the google instructions do not include the Mac OS X, in their list of required operating systems. I’m a little afraid to try it without any responses indicating that there’s a way to make it work, because I’ve been seeing nightmare scenarios online in which users have lost all of their outlook calendar entries. Any thoughts? Thanks again.
