How do you reinstall RAS?

By johnnyextreme ·
Remote access connection mgr. failed to start because it could not find one or more communication dlls. If the problem persists reinstall RAS. How do you reinstall RAS? It's not in the Add/remove programs or Add/remove NT components. The KB wasn't much help - all I found was articles that said to reinstall RAS but didn't say how this could be done.

Go to net work in control pannel and in the services tab click add and add remote access service that will install RAS. You may have to delete it first then reinstall. You need the win NT cd or i386.

Duh. It's a networking service, therefore it's listed in the services tab of Network Properties. Thanks elmagoal.

RAS is Remote Access Service...it is installed throught the Network Properties-->Services tab. Click ADD and select REMOTE ACCESS SERVICE. It will prompt you at that point thru completion. Reboot the system and then reapply your service pack, then reboot again. Should be all set after that.
