How does your company handle employee monitoring?

The company I work for is going to revamp our monitoring. Just wondering what methos and products everyone uses? Do you take screenshots, log any keystrokes, or just take a history of what they do? How long do you save the records for? Thanks everyone.

Spector CNE Investigator

I installed this product a couple of years ago for a client for employee monitoring. It does all of the above things you mentioned within a AD domain environment. You can replay the activities on any individual that basically allows you to literally view all activity as if you were there at that moment. Little overhead on the workstation. Only thing you would need to consider is the length of time to keep this data. This will be impacted by the size of network you would be monitoring. At that time the product could be installed via login script, group policy, email link or executable. I hope this helps.

history, chatting and email

Take a history of activities and record chatting and email. I think it is a keylogger to record any keystrokes (http://www.anykeylogger.com/how-to-record-keystrokes.html).

Alternative software!

We are using for a year already WorkExaminer. Yeah we capture emails, take screenshots, log keystrokes, chat conversations, track all PC activities, block websites, apps, games, view all history of what employees are doing. There are lots of activities that software helps us to do. You can check it here: http://www.workexaminer.com/
