How to clean Story.gen virus

By jklaws ·
I'm tired of receiving the same network alert messages from Network Associates Group shield Anti-virus report. It seems that there is a case of story.gen floating around the company hiding in a word document. We've narrowed our search down to 5 suspects.
Is there any solution yet know that will enable me to permanently or temporarily clean this dam thing?

Please advise
J.K.L

Symantec Anti-Virus has a nice feature called Quarantine, which moves all suspected files to a seperate folder. Look under your options for Action: then set move to folder.

Check your network associates package for the right data file. Your dat file needs to be version 4033 or above and the engine at 4.0.02 or above. The latest dat file is 4079 with version 4080 to be released tomorrow. I'm using 4.03a with a 4.0.70engine and 4079 dat files and it's running well.
Hope this helps.
