How to connect to remote pc as a certain user

By statykserver ·
How do you connect to another computer on the network as a certain user, (Administrator)

I remember it goes along the lines of
\\192.168.0.1\c$

This can be done through the command line or explorer ....
but what I can't remember is how do you specify the user name?

you must have rights

You can connect either with the IP or the hostname or servername followed by \C$ or \D$, etc.

As long as you know the local administrator password for the machine you are trying to connect to or the username you are logged in with is part of a group on your domain that has rights to the remote share, you will get in. You will be prompted for a username and password if you username doesn't have permission to connect to the share.

Type this at the command prompt, it will give you the syntax of the command:

net use /?

As noted above, you must have the username and password of the user you are trying to connect as.
