How to Move Proxy Server (w/ IIS) to New

Hi!

If you have a tape backup just stop IIS & PROXY services in the service control.

Then make a Full backup of the whole machine.

Reinstall NT on a new machine and Restore the previous backup, everything should run just fine.

You could also use a disk image program like Ghost or Drive Image by Power Quest.

http://www.powerquest.com

Is the home for Drive Image company.

I agree with the above answer. Just make sure that the name of the computer is the same as the name of the previous computer. You might have a problem with IIS.

Drive image is a great choice. You can copy the machine and it will restore it exactly on the new machine. As well you can copy workstations and then use it for workstations and there is a little tool that comes with it so that you can change the SID for the workstations, although for the above move you should leave it the same. But make sure that the old box is offline first or things will get scary if 2 boxes have the same SID....
