How to remote connect to 2nd PC on router w/ static IP-using PC Anywhere

By ebonchill ·
I'm trying to figure out how to remote connect to 2nd PC on router w/ static IP-using PC Anywhere. I have the host PC at one location and two other PC's at a remote location. I am able to connect to the first and older one but then I installed a router and an additional PC that has camera's on it. How might I connect to the 2nd PC when they both have the same router router address. I tried using the 2nd PC's private IP address but no go?

re: connecting to PC with PCAnywhere

You need to have a copy of the HOST portion of PCAnywhere installed on each computer that you wish to connect to. Check the licensing to see if it allows you to install it on more than one PC. If not, you'll have to purchase another copy of it.

What OS are you running? It may be easier to use the Remote Desktop Connection built into WinXP. Or, there is a nice FREE utility called Ultra VNC which allows connection and control of other PC's.
