Hi, want to know how to restart a domain controller. i have applied password policies and account lockout policies on the Win server2000 DC. now i want to revert back those settings. After i have done this, several users are still getting the old policy settings, and some users are not having the OU’s GPO , they are getting only the Default Domain policy. Please help on this

Update Group Policy on Remote Machines

You can try doing this on the client machines to manually update the group policy:

      Update Group Policy

      Close all running programs
Go to Start, Run and type “gpupdate /force” without the quotes (“) in the textbox
      Click OK
A black Command Prompt window will open up
When it is done it will ask if it is OK to log off
      Type Y and enter

I am not sure if that is exactly what you’re looking for.
