you have to register your mobile on yahoo and you would be able to send and receive sms to the number. You have to have yahoo installed on your computer.

To send SMS, most providers allow email to

<10-digit-phone-number>@[provider-domain-dot-com]

You can’t send from the phone to the computer that way, but usually you can send an SMS message TO the phone FROM the computer.

To receive, it’s easiest with an agent like yahoo, as mentioned before.

Of course, text messaging on the phone must be enabled, and charges may apply to SMS messages.

To send and receive sms from computer using java is possible. I used the java code to connect to a GSM modem which is linked through a computer to send and receive sms from computer.Try this,it guided me step by step on how to send sms and receive from computer.
