How to start messenger thru script

By shanna ·
Is there any way to guarantee that the Windows Messenger service on a domain-connected workstation gets started when the user logs on? I was hoping to build that command into the logon scripts that we use here, but wasn't sure of the proper command syntax to input.

If possible, I'd like to ensure that all our users receive any administrative alerts I need to issue throughout the workday.

Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

cmd /c "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe"

this runs from the run dialog box and in command prompt so just paste it on a line in your scritp or batch file. IF using a .vbs add:

set oShell = Createobject("WScript.Shell")

oShell.run "cmd /c ""C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe""",1,FALSE
