How-To? Stream Internet Radio to Intranet?

By brian.porter ·
Hi all,

I'm hoping this is going to be an easy question, but I'm struggling to find anything on google that's relevent to help me.

Quite simply, I'm looking to cache / proxy / repeat a public internet radio onto our intranet to reduce bandwidth.

Everything I've found so relates purely to setting up your own broadcasting station and working with a file, or live sessions etc.

I've briefly looked at Windows Media Services, but don't want to install this unless it provides a proxy / relay function.

We have only just implemented a SQUID proxy cache (Win32) which again, i'm unable to locate any information on whether or not this does, or is capable of proxying streaming audio.

Microsoft's ISA is a possible option, if it can get the job done.

Can anyone please shed some light on what should be a simple concept please?

Regards,
Brian

We use Adobe Bridge CS3, it runs Mac and PC. It is an online meeting "sever." I don't know if you could use it for media though.

I doubt you'll get an answer from a person who posted in 2007.
