How to transfer Internet Favorites from Win2K PC to Vista PC

By sarahatmasters ·
I am finally moving from Windows 2000 PC to a Windows Vista PC. Is there a way to transfer all the useful Internet Favorites links I have built up from the old to the new PC?

You can use the file transfer wizard or if you just want to tranfer your favorites you can (in your old PC) go into
c:\documents and settings\your username\favorites and copy them to a usb drive or CD and then copy them to the same location on your new PC.

File and Settings Transfer Wizard in Vista

by formerly CallPete.com In reply to You can use...

... won't work unless the old PC was XP. XP's file and setting transfer wizard would work on the "old" pc if it was 95, 98, ME, 2K, or XP, but Vista's requires XP or Vista.

But to answer the original post: moving the "favorites" folder over will move over saved IE bookmarks. You were correct there.
