HP LaserJet 8100DN will not print to the

By tabell ·
The HP LaserJet 8100 DN printer is a network printer and has 4 trays. When the users try to print to Tray 2, it then goes to Tray 4, no matter what. The users are printing from an app by Broadbent. They use NT 4.0 as their OS. There is paper in Tray 2, and the drivers (they are the correct drivers) have been re-installed. The settings on the printer itself have been checked, and the default settings were restored. The printer was also turned off and turned back on. Tray 2 is not disabled.

How can I make the users able to print to Tray 2?

Go to your printers folder and then properties of that printer. On the paper tab choose tray 2 as the default printer.

This choice is not available in the driver properties.

I suggest you to check if the application replaces the driver of the printer in the OS of the server with a specific driver and it forces you to use tray 4 instead of 2, and you are not aware about that.
I hope it will be helpful.

This was a factor, but not the whole problem. Thanks!
