Hubless 10BaseT Network Cable

By scarroll ·
My Win98 book, which is usually so helpful, says:

"Remember, a hubless 10Base-T Network requires a special cable, or else the computers won't recognize each other."

What it doesn't say is just what *kind* of special cable they require. Anyoneknow?

I'm simply trying to connect two Win98se computers together so they can share big graphics files, and DCC is too slow.

What you are looking for is a Cross-over cable.

If you plan to build it yourself, there is a download in the Download section here of numerous cable diagrams.

Or, just search the web on CAT5 Crossover cable.
