I am preparing to setup a virtual machine using http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/window-on-windows/get-started-with-windows-8-client-hyper-v-the-right-way/7893.
The Virtualization Technology is enabled in BIOS. However, when running the System Information utility to see the Hyper-V features, I get:
“a Hypervisor has been detected. Features for Hyper-V will not be displayed.”
This doesn’t sound right – I was hoping to see the 4 Hyper-V features like “VM Monitor Mode” and “SLAT Extensions”, etc. I am hoping someone can tell me what I need to do to see the features. Thx

If you are looking in the output of the System Information tool (msinfo32.exe), the message that “a hypervisor has been detected” is normal output and expected when the Hyper-V role is installed. Without the Hyper-V role installed, the System Information tool displays whether the hardware features required for Hyper-V are present on the physical system. However, once the Hyper-V role is installed, the hypervisor obscures the ability to detect these features because it is virtualizing access to them.
