I loged to the computer which is connected to the printer as an administrator and shared the printer and loged off. from other computers, I can't see the printer in My Network Places. what can be the problem?

to which printer is connected...if you can't see the computer then you will need to turn "File and Print Sharing" on in Network Properties...

everyone group should allow you to see it

everyone group means everyone including the pet camel and the neighbors down the street.

So if you really did share the printer and left the defaults alone, and you setup the workgroup correctly according to microsoft's best practices, you should see the printer.

if you didn't do all of those, and I mean all, not just part of em, then go back and follow microsoft's best practices for setting up a workgroup for XP.

see microsoft technet or help and support keywords: XP workgroup sharing printers
