Internet Connection Sharing

ICS allows you to share 1 internet connection among networked computers.

The connection can be dial-up, an internal DSL modem, or an external cable or DSL modem.

ICS is Internet Connection Sharing.
You can share your Internet connectio by installing this protocol in your network control panel. This is reportedly a problematic protocol to run in pre Windows XP OSes. A proxy server application may be better. Here is a link:

It is, and at the same time, is not related to networking. ICS allows one machine, acting as a server, to share it's Internet connection with other machines. The "server" pretty much acts as a conduit for other machines to gain access to the Internet. For a more detailed explanation please click on your help files as they contain a more detailed explanation of ICS. Do a search for ICS.
