    IDE drives found only as SCSI

    Locked

    by pgs-au ·

    Using a Foxconn P9657AA-8KS2H board, all IDE drives are only being found as SCSI.
    HD = WD 200Gb
    Opticals we’ve tried LG, Sony, NEC & Samsung; all with the same result – show as SCSI with errors in Device Manager & don’t appear for use in Windows. HD works OK.
    All available updates (inc BIOS) have been applied the the system. Have tested with & without the RAID controller installed.

      Your drives will be shown as “scsi” if the drives in the “bios” are selected as “raid”. Just go into the “bios” and select the “raid” as “ide”. Hope this helps you.
