Ideal career path(non-manager) for a consultant?

    Hi Guys,
I am 6+ year old Peoplesoft consultant. What could be the next moves for me uphill? I dont want to lose my geeky side (of development) by sliding into a managerial role(very seldom I find suitable for that role). Hence kindly advise me!

    Regards,
    Rao.

If you are a technical consultant, and you don’t want to go into management, then your career path is to be a technical consultant, no?

The only ‘move’ for a technical consultant who works as a contractor would perhaps be to a full-time role in an organization, which may be more stable with better benefits but not necessarily more money.
