IE 6 problems...old File versions.

By cyberghost_1 ·
Here is the deal. I can't seem to repair IE6, I get a msg. indicating that IE can't be repaired due to some .dll File versions. Here's the list:
licmgr10.dll v. 5.0.......
SCRRUN.DLL v. 5.5.......
pngfilt.dll v. 5.5........
jsproxy.dll v. 5.0........
I already tried reinstalling IE6 along with all updates. The msg. says that I need v.6.0.2800.1100 of each file. I DL each file too, with no luck. What am I missing? I have tried everything, reinstalling, updating...
Any advice or solutions? !!!!!!!!

I would also install Sins JAVA script, it has replced MS Java Vurtual Machine which was a poor equivalent at best, (noticed the jsproxy.dll issue).

Also try running system file checker, it will scan all system files and restore damaged or outdated filesfrom your windows CD or partition.

You didn't mention your operating system but it is sfc.exe from your command prompt (2K XP) or RUN command 95/98.

Try using IERadicator utility to remove IE from the system then go to web and run IE setup again, you then will have the updated version of IE with the file version that is stated in the message.

Thanks, but I had already tried that, actually that is the root of all these problems!! I did that cuz of performance issues since I only have 64Mb RAM, 700MHz Celeron, Win98SE. IEradiator messed up all of my PC's settings...Desktop, Program Files, EVERYTHING !! I restored my Registry that I had backed up before hand, and I am currently in the reconstruction phase of deleting IE. Yesterday I copied the .dll files from my other PC with some success. The trouble now is that IE load images really slow. Please post another answer with your input !!
