IE repair tool

By datarat ·
When I run the IE repair tool it fails with a reason of "the file url.dll exists, but is version 5.50.3505.600 and needs to be at least 5.50.4522.1800"

Reinstalling is not an option as the system thinks that IE is current. Does anyone know whereI can get the updated url.dll?

First check your system using find for all instances of the url.dll. Then check the properties to see if it is in fact the incorrect version as the message stated.

You may/should have a copy of the url.dll in the Windows\sysbckup folder it could be the one you need.

Opps and if you do and if it is correct then you need to put it in the Windows\System folder after moving out the one that is incorrect.
