IE5 Corrupting Textfiles

By oyvinn.andreassen ·
I downloaded IE5 a couple of weeks ago and found out soon that when i use the explorer for opening a file for editing (draging it over to TextPad Editor) and saving the file , the file becomes corrupt. It look like the file is empty. This happens EACH time. Doubble clicking the file looks to work (opening the file with Notepad).

Any clues?
(i have also installed NT SP6).

Best regards

You could try the following:
- Reinstall SP6. When the installation of IE5 or another application has overwritten files SP6 installed, there could be problems.
- Install SP6a, the latest SP for NT.
- Install the newest IE, version 5.01, from microsoft.com . It could be that the problem you describe is solved in this version.
Good luck!
