IE5 questions

By steve.perkins ·
Two silly questions for the price of one.

1. How do I switch off the "adaptive" menus in IE5.0 - call me useless but I can't find an option anywhere !

2. How can I stop it filling up my favourites menu with stuff I don't want (MSN etc)

Thanks
Steve

To Delete link in favorite click on favorite\organize favorite
from there you can delete unwant link and folder.
to re-arrane tool bar menu click on
view\tot\olbars\customize
from there you can arrange yours' tool bar.
hope this help.

Problem is that the IE5 puts the shortcuts back after I delete them !

Its the "smart" pull down menus that I want to turn off. They hide everything but "commonly used" options !

Cheers anyhow.

I take it you're running WinME. Go to Tools|Internet options|Advanced. There'll be an option checked regarding favorites.
Uncheck it.

As far as your favorites menu filling up, you may have to turn off either Javascript or cookies. I've only seen a few sites auto-add a link to favorites, and I usually don't go back.
