IE5 Wizard Error

By msena ·
When trying to install Outlook 2000 I've run into an error on a couple of PC's that give me an Internet Explorer 5.0 Wizard error and halt the installation process. I've tried to reinstall the IE5.0 and encounter the exact same error. I've returnedthe PC to IE 4 and encounter an IE 4.0 Wizard error. No matter what I seem to try I cannot overcome this error. Any suggestions???

If you have Outlook running before, go Custom
Select all to run from your System. I Have Notice that Most MS 2000 programs don't want to let go.
They have your system UP and Down over&over.
if you forget something your in problems.

What is the -specific- error message you get? There are many things that can cause the wizard to error out, some of which can be solved by deleting a couple of key files and attempting to reinstall.

Check out Microsoft's Knowledge Base at support.microsoft.com and search through the available wizard errors to find what will work for you. Hope this helps.

try to repair your ie5 by going to add remove
program, select internet explorer 5, click add remove a popup menu in which you will select 3 choices select the repair ie5 radio button then click ok this will check and repair any corrupted files in your browser after that it will prompt you to restart your
machine click ok.launch your outlook 5.0 this time and check for any error message if
there is missing msoe.dll that is not corrected during the repair try to restore that file by using yoursystem file checker
applet under system info.if everything ok and restored upgrade to your outlook 2000.
