Inaccessable boot device on new scsicard

I need to install a new scsi card to support a 160uw scsi drive, when I connect the old drive to the new card I get the “inaccessable boot device” error. Does anyone know of any way to move to a new scsi card without rebuilding the machine

You could try reconnecting the old drive to its original card and booting with both the new card (without any drives connected to it) and old card in the computer. This should allow you to install the drivers for the new card. Then remove the old card again and connect the boot drive to the new card. If the new card is at all compatible with the boot drive, this should allow it to boot. Hope this helps!
